The "Magic Fit" separates collection launched in the late 1950s and caught on quickly with the jet setters quite quickly for its style, comfort and fabulous fit. As TV caught on, so did marketing efforts around fashions for this favorite new pastime. Soon after not only were jetsetters enjoying these clothes, but so were the lounge arounds at home.
This doll is one-of-a kind and comes fully dressed in a sweet blush colored crop top with peek-a-boo back and snap closure and snug fitting stretch capri pants in pastel blue. Her accessories include a vintage suede like headband with top knot, large white metal hoop earrings, 2 pink bangles, a chartreuse and aqua leather satchel with vinyl strap and "jewel" closure, white spike heels and a gold and rhinestone belt. Fabiola's face is hand-painted then sprayed with a matte finish. This Fabiola has matte lips. Her body is hand buffed, then a wash of bronzer is added to some areas. She is then highlighted in fine glittery gold dust and is sealed with a gloss finish for extra glow. Her custom box is reminiscent of perfume packaging of the 1950s. The back of her box includes her bio. Series 1 is limited to 300 dolls and her number in that series is listed at the bottom of the box. A simple acrylic stand is also included.
Fabiola is approximately 11.5" tall. She is a pin-uppity glamour doll for the adult collector and is not a toy. She is one of a kind and should be treated as a work of art.
