Cedrick's of Hollywood's early 60s "Jewel Box Color Block" separates really caught a nerve with the young nightclub set. Looking for a way to stand out in a crowd, these outfits really added the exclamation point to one's unique individual style. So much of the 60's was about being matchy-matchy so some saw these combos as very daring and refreshing. It's been talked about with those in-the-know that a young French designer was so taken by this collection that he caused a sensation with his own color blocked dresses.

This doll is one-of-a kind and comes fully dressed in a blue silk dotted one armed ruffle bodice and red dotted pleated pencil skirt. Her bold accessories include lilac gloves, zebra clutch, red bangle bracelets, gold belt with rhinestone buckle, aqua hose and custom shoes with satiny ribbons. Outfit sewn by Aleida Ortiz. Fabiola's face is hand-painted then sprayed with a matte finish. This Fabiola has gloss lips. Her body is hand buffed, then a wash of bronzer is added to some areas. She is then highlighted in fine glittery gold dust and is sealed with a gloss finish for extra glow. Her custom box is reminiscent of perfume packaging of the 1950s. The back of her box includes her bio. Series 1 is limited to 300 dolls and her number in that series is listed at the bottom of the box. A simple acrylic stand is also included.
Fabiola is approximately 11.5" tall. She is a pin-uppity glamour doll for the adult collector and is not a toy. She is one of a kind and should be treated as a work of art.
