This is the outfit that really started the design collaboration with Cedrick and Fabiola. It's an exact replica of Fabiola's outfit from Puerto Rico's Fiesta Festiva of 1955 where she was crowned “Muñeca Bailarina”. The back story on the original is that Fabiola wanted something with traditional ruffles but wanted to stand out in a new way. Her abuelita designed and sewed this garment modeled after something she herself wore back in the 1940s. The result: Ounces of Flounces (as it was originally called in the popular 'Island" collection). It was later rebranded as the Fabiola Flounce under Cedrick's label Fabiola's Favs. Flounces came in various fabrications, colors and patterns.

This doll is one-of-a kind and comes fully dressed in a red silk dupioni bandeau top with leather-like halter strap. The strap is knotted on (not sewn) and can be easily taken off for a different look or to change out to a different color. The skirt and top both have snap closures in the back. This Fabiola wears a vintage plastic flower in her hair with rhinestone center. Her clutch is embroidered and hand embellished with tiny matte sequins. It was modeled after the vintage straw souvenir bags that were embroidered with yarn back in the 1950s and 1960s. Her other accessories include red metal hoop earrings, turquoise heels and a red and turquoise bangle bracelet. Outfit by Aleida Ortiz and accessories by Mr. B.
